Bassist Tony Renda is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who began his musical journey by taking piano lessons at age 6. As a teenager, he taught himself to play the bass, guitar, and drums as well.
At 18 Tony joined his first band, an alternative rock outfit called Fearfull Symmetry. Throughout the rest of the ’90s, he lent his talents to such diverse groups as metal act Neander, genre-crossing cover band Splattercat, and original rockers Long Story.
These experiences led to his time as both bass player and keyboardist for Glennwood, with whom he toured and recorded two studio albums. Tony was a recent member of classic rock cover band Liquid Garden, and he currently plays bass & keys for Rush tribute band Dreamline.
Tony’s main influences are Geddy Lee, Les Claypool, Steve Harris, John Paul Jones, Cliff Burton, Flea, Jason Newsted, Mike Rutherford, Krist Novoselic, and Tim Commerford.
